I'm kate Higgins
I have a background in Social Work and was a ‘stay-home’ mom to three amazing kids for almost 20 years before I discovered Life Coaching. Not only did coaching change my life, including all of my relationships – especially my relationship with myself – it also led me to what I consider to be the perfect career. I feel incredibly lucky to work with my clients – individuals who have the courage to be honest with themselves and to do the work to change their lives, to grow and evolve.
A few years ago, when our close friend’s son came out as transgender, they felt as though their entire world imploded. I learned so much from them, and from that experience. I also saw such a great need for support and coaching, not only for the LGBTQ+ community, but also for their parents. I knew that was the direction I wanted to take my coaching practice.
Whether you feel like your world has been turned upside down, or you’re just finding it challenging to adjust to a new normal, having someone non-judgmental and objective to hold space for you and help you process is invaluable.
My greatest desire is to help parents, of any faith, walk through this transition and become the person, and the parent, they truly want to be.
